In 2014, we were both single backpackers who (separately) decided to take a trip to Costa Rica. After travelling around the country - Pete started in the East, while Chen started in the West - we met in Monteverde. During a city-wide power outage, everyone went outside to stare up at the stars, it was a beautiful sight. That's when we started chatting and ended up doing so until early hours of the morning. We agreed to keep in touch and what started out as two friends going travelling together turned into a long-distance relationship and now something a little more serious...
